On May 2, Patterson High School, in coordination with its Supply Chain & Logistics Advisory Committee and Truck Driving partners, will be hosting a job fair/hiring event for qualified Patterson High School students. The event will begin at 10:00 am until 1:00 pm, with a brief partner advisory meeting and facility tour to occur following the event until 1:30 pm.
Due to an ever growing demand for skilled, qualified workers, and an incredible partnership between the District's Career Technical Education (CTE) programs and industry professionals, 20 industry partners have committed to participate in the job fair and are prepared to take Patterson High School student resumes, perform interviews on the spot, and in some cases hire the students directly upon graduation.
Participating industry partners include: Costco Distribution Center, Restoration Hardware, Grainger Distribution Center, Morning Star Trucking, Kohl's Distribution Center, Bronco Wine Co., Paradise Tomato, CVS Caremark Distribution Center, Sysco Central California, Northern Refrigerated Transportation, Foster Farms, Penske Logistics, GC Trucking, and Artic Glacier.
The meeting will be followed by a brief Patterson Supply Chain & Logistics Advisory meeting, where industry partners meet with school program leaders to ensure that program curriculum meets the needs of the industry, and a tour of the High School's Warehouse and Distribution Center, and Forklift and Truck Driving Training areas.
