Sejak dibuka pendaftaran calon Panwaslu pada 24 November lalu, baru ada satu pelamar yang mengembalikan berkas kantor Badan Pengawas Pemilu (Bawaslu) DIY. Jika hingga batas akhir pendaftaran pada 2 Desember, kuota batas minimal pendaftar yakni sembilan orang tidak terpenuhi, maka panitia seleksi akan memperpanjang masa pendaftaran. Ketua Bawaslu DIY, Mohamad Najib mengatakan, di wilayah DIY, Gunungkidul menjadi satu-satunya daerah yang peminatnya paling rendah.
