(AP) — More than 50 companies and other organizations are expected to participate in Connecticut's annual the Heroes 4 Hire Career Fair for veterans. The event, sponsored by the state Department of Labor, takes place Wednesday inside the Pratt & Whitney football stadium and Rentschler Field in East Hartford. The department says the event typically attracts more than 600 veterans each year. A Brainerd Lakes Community Job Fair will provide an opportunity to meet employers who are seeking employees and to see who is hiring. This event will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 4, at Central Lakes College, presented by Rural MN CEP.
