2018 Jump Start Job Fair - WesternSlopeNow

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. - If you're a job seeker looking to connect with employers in our community, what better way then to attend a job fair right here in Grand Junction?

The Mesa County Workforce Center hosted their 2018 Jump Start Job Fair yesterday.

9:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. was reserved exclusively for veterans looking to enter the work force.

From 9:30 a.m until 2 p.m., the Business Center was packed with job seekers looking to find their perfect fit.

Over 53 employers also took part in the event. Many said the job fair is a great opportunity for them to connect with candidates right here in our community.

"It gives us the opportunity to come in and see who's hiring and what they have to offer. It's way more personal," said Traci Williams, Job Seeker.

"This is just another way for us to get in front of the community, show them our apprenticeship program and what we have to offer," said Jon Stevens with WCJATC.

For more information about job opportunities either as an employer or a job seeker, you can call the Workforce Center at 248-7560 or visit their website
