Sitel to hold job fair Tuesday - Elmira Star-Gazette
Sitel, an international customer support firm, plans to add 300 jobs to its call center in the Town of Erwin, and will hold a job fair Tuesday to support that effort.
The company will hire the additional customer care specialists to provide inbound support for a leading satellite television provider, according to a Sitel news release.
The job fair is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday in the company's facility at 101 Canada Road in Erwin. Prospective applicants are encouraged to bring a copy of their resume. Candidates can also apply immediately online in Sitel's "Careers" section at sitel.com. Previous sales experience and strong computer knowledge are preferred.
Sitel did not disclose the identity of the satellite TV provider. The workforce at the Erwin center, typically in the hundreds, fluctuates as contracts for clients begin and end.
Sitel operates 108 facilities internationally and employs more than 61,000 worldwide.
Sitel provides a competitive compensation and benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, 401K, paid vacation and holiday time, the news release said. Bonus and incentive opportunities are also available. In addition, all employees will receive free satellite television services valued at $3,000 per year, company officials said.
The expansion in Erwin will likely create future career opportunities for front line coaches and future operations managers, according to the release.
