Six Flags seeking seasonal employees at job fair - WWLP 22News

AGAWAM, Mass. (WWLP) – Six Flags New England is gearing up for the 2014 season. That means thousands of job opportunities for western Massachusetts residents. 22News went to Agawam where the job interviews were going on.

Six Flags New England has plans to hire 3,000 seasonal employees. The first day of their annual job fair took place in Agawam on Friday.

Six Flags New England spokeswoman Jennifer McGrath told 22News their seasonal employees start training almost immediately. These are seasonal openings, but McGrath said many people work 40 hours a week during the summer months.

22News spoke with a high school junior from Springfield who's here hopefully for his first job ever.

"Mostly a car and then college. Those are my first two big spending options. It gets a lot of people the opportunity to get a job and make some money, have a good time," said Gio Cavalli.

The job fair ended around 7 o'clock, but resumes Saturday morning at 10.
