BERC seeking manufacturers for job fair - Carroll County Times

The Carroll County Business/Employment Resource Center (BERC) is seeking manufacturers with current job openings to participate in a manufacturers only job fair in June. The event is scheduled for June 22 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the American Job Center, 224 N. Center St., Westminster, according to a news release from the county's Department of Economic Development. Manufacturers are asked to register by emailing BERC Business Consultant Scott Singleton at ssingleton@ccg.carr.org by June 14, according to the release. There is no charge for the event. Businesses will be asked to provide information in advance about the types and number of positions available, according to the release. Representatives are allotted space to conduct preliminary interviews and to talk to candidates about their company and the jobs they have to offer. Center personnel will be on hand to greet job seekers, help answer questions and to provide assistance, according to the release. "The Department of Economic Development has been very successful in assisting local manufacturers to expand and in attracting new manufacturers to locate in Carroll County," Economic Director Jack Lyburn said in the release.
