Job Fair and Preparation Workshops on Tap - WNC News

Area employers will have an opportunity to recruit Western Nevada College students for job openings during the annual Job Fair on Wednesday, March 14.

Western Nevada College and Carson City Health and Human Services invites employers, students and job seekers to a Job Fair scheduled for 2 to 4 p.m. at the Carson City Community Center, 851 E. William St. Early entrance/admission is available to veterans and individuals with disabilities at 1:30 p.m.

The Job Fair is an ideal time to speak to and recruit college students, graduates and community members for job openings. There is no cost to participate.

In the past, manufacturing/production, government (local and state agencies), transportation, home health care/assisted living, gaming/hospitality, education, sales, publishing, insurance, food service have participated.

Students can prepare for the Job Fair through several workshops provided by Career Connect in early March:

  • A résumé writing workshop from 1 to 2 p.m. on Friday, March 2 in Cedar Building 109
  • A Job Fair preparation workshop from 1 to 2 p.m. on Friday, March 9 in Cedar Building 109
