BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

A job fair focused on jobs in south Baton Rouge will be held on Monday, October 30 at 6 p.m. at the Dr. Leo S. Butler Community Center. The career event is being hosted by Councilwoman Tara Wicker and the Old South Baton Rouge Economic Redevelopment Group.

Employers participating will include Lemoine Construction, EBR Housing Authority, Knock Knock Children's Museum, EBRPSS Adult & Continuing Education Program, McClain Staffing Service, Mid-City Redevelopment Alliance, CVS Pharmacy, YMCA and more, according to a news release.

"Old South Baton Rouge is experiencing major growth and development. This Job Opportunity Fair provides citizens and the community the chance to actively participate and benefit from all of the growth and development that is occurring in this area. We encourage all eligible and interested residents to come out and participate," Wicker said in a statement.
