Upcoming job fair will provide criminal case expungement, child support services - Nooga.com

More than 20 employers will be accepting applications at a job fair this week where attendees can also receive a variety of other services, including criminal court expungement and help with child support matters.

The event will be held at Olivet Baptist Church's Kingdom Center at 730 E. MLK Blvd. Aug. 31 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Employers slated to attend the event include BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee, CHI Memorial, Integrity Staffing, Trillium Drivers, Randstad and Convergys. Positions in these organizations will be available in health care, transportation, manufacturing, retail and general labor.

Other services that will be offered at the job fair include:

  • Opportunities for expungement for criminal cases
  • Paternity education
  • Résumé building
  • Driver's license reinstatement opportunities for noncustodial parents in child support cases

Anyone living in Hamilton or Bradley counties is invited to attend the job fair. Free parking, lunch, refreshments and door prizes will be available.

The job fair was organized by the Hamilton and Bradley counties child support office and the Hamilton and Bradley counties Families First workforce office, operated by Maximus through a contract with the Tennessee Department of Human Services.
