Valley schools holding job fair for substitute teachers - WFMJ

School districts in Mahoning County are getting ready for the cold and flu season by putting out the call for substitute teachers.

The Mahoning County Educational Service Center says ten school districts in the Valley are anticipating the need for substitutes in the coming months, so have established a consortium to find qualified subs and make the process of placing them in local school districts more efficient.

The program also provides substitutes for nearly 3 dozen preschool and special needs classrooms across Mahoning County.

On Wednesday, December 7, the Mahoning Valley Regional Council of Governments will hold a Regional Substitute Teacher Job Fair.

It will take place between 10 a.m., and 1 p.m. at the Joyce Brooks Center located inside the Mahoning County Career and Technical Center in Canfield. (Enter Door 36)
