Need a job? 75 companies hiring at job fair Tuesday - AL.com

A selection of the 75 companies hoping to hire workers at a job fair on Tuesday, April 12. 

Companies ranging from food service to hospitals to the U.S. Military are hoping to hire workers at a job fair on Tuesday.

Several military recruiters and 70 companies will seek qualified workers  from 9 a.m. until noon on Tuesday, April 12 at the Gardendale First Baptist Church at 940 Main St. 

Employers who have committed to attend include: the Birmingham Police Department; Books-A-Million; CVS distribution and retail; St. Vincent's; Auto Zone; Regions Bank; ACIPCO; Schneider Trucking; Shelby County Sheriff's Department; T-Mobile Call Center; UAB; Waffle House; Wells Fargo; Alabama Department of Corrections, and others.  

Several military recruiters, including the U.S. Air Force, Marine Corps., and the Army National Guard, will also be there seeking qualified candidates.

The fair is open to everyone, regardless of age, skill sets or education level. Candidates should dress professionally and carry many resumes. Military veterans, reservists and members of the National Guard are encouraged to attend. 

Positive Maturity hosted a similar job fair in August, where 55 companies and 700 job seekers attended.

Positive Maturity Nonprofit Agency, Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve, the Alabama Career Center, and Gardendale First Baptist Church are cosponsoring the fair.
