WATERLOO (KWWL) - The Greater Cedar Valley Alliance and Chamber and IowaWORKS Cedar Valley will hold a job fair Thursday in Waterloo.

The job fair will be from 1-5 p.m. at the Waterloo Center for the Arts in downtown Waterloo.

Hundreds of layoffs at John Deere were announced earlier this year, with most going into effect later this month. The fair is in response to those layoffs, as well as others at prominent employers in the Waterloo area.

The job fair is open to the public. The event will feature more than 25 employers eager to hire for immediate openings in a wide range of fields. People are encouraged to come "dressed to impress" with resume copies.
