Liliha Bakery's highly anticipated second location at the former Sam Choy's Breakfast, Lunch & Crab restaurant on Nimitz Highway near Downtown Honolulu will employ about 125 people with a job fair being held from May 8-10, according to a posting on Craigslist.

Liliha Bakery 2 will be hiring for both part-time and full-time positions, including bakers, cooks, dishwashers, wait staff, parking attendants and a warehouse supervisor.

The job fair is scheduled to take place on-site at 580 N. Nimitz Highway on May 8, 9 and 10 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., and on May 10 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

As PBN first reported, Peter Kim, owner of Liliha Bakery, told PBN in October that he planned to open his second location, which will have about 45 counter seats and 120 dining room seats, in May.

The former University of Alabama placekicker and owner of the Yummy Korean Bar-B-Q restaurant chain also said that once the second Liliha Bakery location opens, he will start working on a third location, eyeing the Pearl City area and West Oahu.

Meantime, next door, Hoku Brewing Co., which is being led by former partners of Aloha Beer Co., plans to open up alongside a shop selling manapua and dim sum.
