A veteran job fair in Wichita today - KWCH

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) Veterans are serving our country for 4 to 20 years or more and sometimes when they return it can be difficult transitioning back into civilian life.

The VA is hosting a job fair from 1-4 in the Robert J. Dole auditorium.

Over 50 different employers including Wichita State University and the Wichita police department will be attending the event.

Officials with the hospital say make sure you come out to the fair prepared to ensure you snag the job .

Rob Cain says, "If you can, wear a suit, bring a resume and make sure to be prepared to tell people how you can help them at their job."

If veterans don't have a suit they can call the hospital and they can help to get a suit for the job fair today.

(Photo: Submitted) At least 10 employers needing more than 350 workers will attend a job fair at Friendship Community Church City Center, 11853 Lebanon Road in Mt. Juliet, from noon to 3 p.m. Friday.
