SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Job seekers may want to make sure their best clothes are ready to go Monday, when the city of Syracuse will hold its job fair.
All are welcome to stop by the Bob Seezal Community Center tomorrow from Noon until 4 p.m. to talk with different city department leaders looking to hire. The city is looking to fill a wide range of positions from facility engineers, to accountants and IT personnel.
This is the first city job fair since the minimum wage for city employees was increased to $15 per hour.
"We thought this was a good way to match up candidates with potential jobs, and to let people see all the opportunities there are in the city of Syracuse," Mayor Stephanie Miner said.
Miner says anyone is welcome to come to the job fair, but some positions do require an applicant to live within the city's limits.
