Law enforcement job fair highlights diversity - Cherry Hill Courier Post
GLASSBORO - A law enforcement career fair Saturday seeks to increase diversity on local police forces and other agencies.
Recruiters from police departments in Gloucester, Cumberland and Salem counties will be in the Rowan University Student Center ballroom in Glassboro from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, accepting resumes and discussing career opportunities. Among the event's sponsors are the Gloucester County Prosecutor's Office, the Gloucester County NAACP chapter, the National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives, the FBI, DEA and Rowan University Police Department.
The career fair is part of a 2014 initiative with the prosecutor's office and Gloucester County Police Chiefs Association to help local law enforcement agencies better reflect the diversity of the communities they serve.
