JBS slaughterhouse to fill 60 jobs at job fair Saturday - MLive.com
PLAINWELL MI –The JBS slaughterhouse and meat processing facility in Plainwell will host an on-site job fair Saturday to try to fill 60 production jobs.
"During the job fair, JBS Human Resources representatives will conduct on-site interviews and will hire the right candidates on the spot," the company stated in a press release.
The job fair is scheduled for 9 a.m.-2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 3, at the plant, located at 11 11th St. in Plainwell.
"We're expanding our workforce and we want great people to be a part of our success," the company stated in its release. "JBS seeks to make permanent hires for workers who want a great benefits package and opportunities for growth in a long-term career."
The Plainwell beef processing facility employs more than 1,100 people and processes more than 1,900 head of cattle per day.
The company said it is recruiting full-time production meat-cutters to primarily work first shift. The starting hourly wage for production workers is $11.70 and ranges up to $17.45 per hour depending on the position.
The jobs were described as permanent, full-time positions that come with: training; affordable benefits; a 401(k) retirement plan; paid vacations and holidays; and opportunities for career growth.
