Dept. of Labor to put on Job Fair for Former INL Employees - KPVI News 6
In the last two years many employees who were working for the Idaho National Laboratory have lost their jobs. Now, the Idaho Department of Labor in Idaho Falls is putting on a job fair targeted for those employees to find work.
Jobs these days can be hard to come by, especially after being laid off....but in Idaho Falls the Department of Labor wants to give hard working professionals the chance to find a good job as well as make the searching for it; easier.
"These are some really good jobs and we do have some employers that are even flying in their human resource departments are even flying in for this event and to have 27 employers here all in one location, to be able to talk to all of them and really get your name out there, is a great opportunity and a lot easier to do job search that way than trying to go to each of those locations" said Workforce Consultant, Windy Keele.
"We will have a lot of employers here that are hiring people, professional people with a lot of education, but we also have entry level jobs here, so there's a mixture between the entry level all the way up to the professional" continued Keele.
Which means, even if you're not a former INL employee, you can still come and take advantage of the job fair.
"It's a great opportunity and hopefully we'll get some people employed and try to connect you to some fabulous jobs" said Keele.
Everyone who comes to the job fair is encouraged to dress up and bring copies of their resumes.
