(WSAZ) -- With the seeds for growth planted in Cross Lanes, many neighbors across Kanawha County say they are excited for the future for the first time in a long time. Noah Haverland, of St. Albans, says he was given a boost of hope when he learned that a new Rural King Farm and Home retail store was on the way to Cross Lanes, bringing 70 to 90 jobs along with it. "I think it's awesome for the area," Haverland said. "It feels like the area is growing and picking back up the pieces." While company officials say the new business plans to set up shop at the location of the old Cross Lanes Sam's Club along Lakeview Drive, the excitement has spread to Nitro as well.
